Watercolor Wedding Invitations: Floral Wreath

https://www.etsy.com/listing/263359063/printable-wedding-invitations-watercolor?ref=related-6

I've had the idea for this invitation suite swimming around in my head over the past few months.  Since this past summer really, but haven't been able to translate it to paper.  I'm not sure if it's quite "there" yet, but I am thrilled to at least have something ready to go!

Another invitation from the 2016 collection, this suite features all the usual elements.  Invitation with 4 pre-designed background colors, matching RSVP and insert cards, wedding programs (featuring my infamous silhouette design), menu card, table numbers, seating cards and thank you cards.

Background color options (unless custom is selected).  Gray, Navy, Blue and Green

And now that I'm offering printing services, I am even more excited to send this beauty to the printer and get my own samples back.  There's just something about holding the finished product in your hand, you know?

Well, what do you think of this new design?

UPDATE: Romantic Peony Wedding Suite

https://www.etsy.com/listing/225331771/flower-wedding-invitation-set-peony?ref=shop_home_active_11

Every once in a while, I look over my stationery designs and give them an update.  Not only to keep up on trends and design movements, but also because I can't help myself!

I love the Soft Bloom so much (peonies and watercolors? Yes please), but I love it even more now! The addition of the semi-transparent boxes differentiate the RSVP and accommodation card from the invitation in a beautiful way.  And the silhouette program? Yes.

Fall Wedding Colors... Falling In Love

You know how sometimes you make something that you love?
Something that gives you warm fuzzies and little thrills?

That's how I felt about the Romantic Birch design (above).  I knew it was ready.  And it would appear that I was right, because I have sold more of this design than any of my others stationery suites.

And sometimes those designs come back, get a facelift and *cue magic twinkling bells* I'm in love all over again!
This examples shows a lovely color combo that was requested by one of my brides a few months ago (info has been changed).  While the design originally had a lovely purple accent, the deep burgundy that she requested is just.... oh, it made my designers heart sing!

Love the blue tones in the greenery of this color combo!

And I couldn't help but play around with a few other color combos—perfect for the coming fall!  If you are interested in either of these color combos for your own wedding, simply specify "fall color combo" in the notes section at checkout, or include a photo of the colors that you would like for any of the stationery styles!

Wedding Stationery: Romantic Birch Bark

Another set of Wedding stationery is now in the shop!  This style includes an invitation (of course), a postcard style RSVP card, a wedding program and table numbers to keep your event as lovely
I love the contrast between the texture of the birch bark in the background and the more delicate watercolors.

I had so much fun with this one, that I pulled together my inspiration in the photo below!

Book Cover Illustration: Garlands of Grace

I finally get to start sharing some of the projects that I've been busy with over the past few months!

http://www.amazon.com/Garlands-Grace-Collection-Inspirational-Poems-ebook/dp/B00T6CSVUO/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1423422968&sr=1-1

Back in November, I was contacted by Dawn Escoto and asked to illustrate the cover design for her book of poems and songs.  How could I say no?

Dawn is a very sweet woman, and we enjoyed working together.  She asked for an representation (abstract over a more literal representation) of a garland of generic leaves (no specific leaf type) in a soft watercolor.  Simple enough! After looking over a few sketches that I drew up, she settled on the above design and I set to work.

After another month of work by Dawn and the publishers, getting background and type figured out, along with other details about the book itself, the collection is finally printed and up for sale! Be sure to check it out here or here (especially if you are fond of poetry!).

Hummmming

This little dear is on it's way to a Christmas tree in the near future! As soon as November hits, my inbox is full of Christmas related activity!  It gets me into the "spirit" early and I'm already humming tunes of Holy nights, sleigh rides and manger scenes and dreaming of my favorite Christmas cookies.

It's not too late to order a custom watercolor for your loved one—maybe a custom portrait is more your style?  You can order one here.

Etsy Update: Botanical Memory Verses

Here is a little collection that I created for myself over the past few weeks or so.  I've had a few verses, hymns and songs on my heart and mind and so they made their way into my personal art.
For example, I needed a more constant reminder that I don't have to be "good enough"—that before I even knew Jesus as my Lord and Savior, He died for me.  His Grace and sacrifice is sufficient!  So the first card was born—displaying the main section of the verse, while having the entire verse on the back for reference.
This experiment was shortly followed by a few others and before you know it, my desk and home are littered with beautified verses.

Now I want to share a few with you, my friends.  And I am offering the 3 prints above in my etsy shop!  Be sure to check it out here.
