About

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be an artist.  Drawing constantly on whatever was handy—napkins, sermon outlines, sketchbooks or math homework—I was largely self taught until high school when I was given the chance to take my first "real" art class.

After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from Spring Arbor University, I was encouraged by requests for commission work (and my supportive husband) to start a freelance business and have been on this adventure ever since!

Now, I use this blog as a place to share my journey as an illustrator and designer.  Littered among these posts are examples of commission work that I have done, life experiences re-lived through paper, and peeks into my sketchbooks.
