April Desktop Calendar (2016)
Guess who's behiiiiiind?!?!?
Me.
I am so behind. On all of the things.
March was a crazy month and even though I feel like I completely missed it, I'm glad to see it go. Here I am, at 11:20pm on March 31st, typing out my April desktop calendar blog post and newsletter. Can you say "last possible minute"? Because it's spelled K-A-T-R-I-N-A.
But we're going to make it!
Part of the reason I've been so crazy over the past month is that I have a lot of new things planned for the business—including the launch of my new website (still in the works, because... last minute). Also, I've had the pleasure of working with so many wonderful brides this month, and that combined with the move and questionable internet providers has caused me to fall behind on some of my favorite "regulars", such as blog posts and newsletters.
Bandwagon, here I come!
If you're not subscribed to my newsletter yet, what are you waiting for?? (do so here) You get a free desktop calendar each month (and sometimes TWO), along with first dibs on sales, website launching (!!) and freebies.
And let me tell you, the April update is going to be GREAT.
As long as I can catch up this weekend! haha

Watercolor Wedding Invitations: Floral Wreath
I've had the idea for this invitation suite swimming around in my head over the past few months. Since this past summer really, but haven't been able to translate it to paper. I'm not sure if it's quite "there" yet, but I am thrilled to at least have something ready to go!
Another invitation from the 2016 collection, this suite features all the usual elements. Invitation with 4 pre-designed background colors, matching RSVP and insert cards, wedding programs (featuring my infamous silhouette design), menu card, table numbers, seating cards and thank you cards.
Background color options (unless custom is selected). Gray, Navy, Blue and Green
RSVP and insert example
And now that I'm offering printing services, I am even more excited to send this beauty to the printer and get my own samples back. There's just something about holding the finished product in your hand, you know?
Well, what do you think of this new design?

March Desktop Calendar (2016)
That time has come again! Time to clean off the desktop and enjoy a fresh start at the beginning of a new month. While it is *technically* still February (and I am beyond thankful for the extra day this year), I thought a reminder would be helpful for all ;)
We moved this month! I can still hardly believe it—though the constant scrambling through boxes and the fact that we slept on an air mattress last night is a constant reminder—and I am so excited to begin decorating and getting settled in March. The Hubbard also begin coaching Track this month, which means a new schedule is right around the corner for our little family. Always lots of fun, but takes a period of adjustment. I am learning to be graceful and calm through this season. It is exciting, and I want to enjoy it without becoming too overwhelmed with the process or what I didn't get accomplished.
All this and more on my newsletter! I can't wait to share more with you

Monogram Wedding Invitations(2016 collection)
I recently released my 2016 wedding invitation collection, and this one is probably my favorite! The hand illustrated florals, the bold type, the monogram... Yes!
This set is complete with invitation, response card, program, thank you card, envelope liners, etc. Check out the photos below or visit the listing for more photos.
Designed a gray scale version as well as this gold foil, though I prefer the gold design myself ;)

A Vintage Bride...
One of my favorite portraits from 2015...
It was difficult, because the photos were old to begin with (and I had to work from a photo of a photo, so...!), but I loved the simple style, the cascading bouquet, the beaded detail at the bottom and her simple glow. The strob-ing and contouring trends of today don't always leave room for the soft glow or faint blush of a new and giddy bride, so there was something special about this job.
And the fact that they've been married for longer than I've been alive also added some romance to the project. A suitable post for Valentine's day.
Overall, I really enjoyed this piece and I hope that they were as thrilled with it on Christmas morning as I was to create it for them.

Catching Up...
How sweet is this little girl?
One of my illustrations from the Christmas season. I'm used to sharing as I go, but when you are dealing with gifts, you need to be extra careful, so I'm just now getting around to sharing the finished products.
Here are a few more 5x7 portraits::

February Desktop Calendar 2016
February is HERE!
Featuring a design that I originally made for a wedding invitation suite, but it didn't work out... which meeeeans that I get to share it with you all now!
In so many ways, this design describes the forecast for our family's February.
We are so excited to be able to close on our first house this month (!!!), but leaving our first "home" is definitely bitter sweet. Add to the normal chaos of moving, our house is a foreclosure. So while we have a game plan, we know there is a lot of work/mess/surprise ahead of us!
So the delicate ink outline paired with the splattered paint is the perfect background for the planning and chaos that is sure to surround my computer this next month, haha!
